Please support consultations on making May 2020 trial schemes permanent - Sandall Road, Savernake Road and Hartland Road-Clarence Way

Jean Dollimore

Dear all

It’s now over a year since Camden put in several trial schemes so they are beginning to send out consultations on making the schemes permanent.

They have started with three schemes that used bollards to stop rat running through residential roads. Although most people living in those roads appreciate the schemes, they may not realise that they need to reply to the consultation. But the minority of people who think that driving is more important than safer streets are likely to express their objections.

Here is a list of the three consultations (deadline 15th July)

Sandall Road Safe and Healthy Streets scheme
Bollards were placed across Sandall Road by the width restriction to prevent motor traffic from cutting through residential streets between Camden Road and Kentish Town Road or Leighton Road.
Camden is consulting on whether the trial scheme should be made permanent

Savernake and Cressy Road Safe & Healthy Streets
Bollards were placed across Savernake Road by the entry to Savernake Bridge.
Camden is consulting on whether the trial scheme should be made permanent with some enhancements – three planting areas to include three new trees
They also propose two-way cycling on Cressy Road between Agincourt Road and Constantine Road
Reply to the questionnaire at the bottom of the page.

Clarence Way and Hartland Road Safe & Healthy Streets
Bollards were placed at  three locations around Holy Trinity & St. Silas School
Camden is consulting on whether the trial scheme should be made permanent with some enhancements – footway build outs and greenery on Hartland Road, near the junction of Hawley Road
Reply to the questionnaire at the bottom of the page.

And if you live in any of those areas, please remind your neighbours to respond.

Jean

Thanks Jean, just to say I have supported the first two already as I use both routes quite often.
Best wishes

Susan
